North Bend, also known as Albany is a small town in Coos County, Oregon United States, with a population of 8,695 as of the most recent census. North Bend is bordered on three sides by the Coquille River, an estuary and river where the Coquille River comes out of the Pacific Ocean and flows into the Coquille River at the North Bend Dam. This dam is one of the largest dams in the state of Oregon. The Coquille River flows through the Willamette National Forest to reach its confluence with the Columbia River.

North Bend's location on the banks of the Columbia River is also a great attraction. It sits along the banks of the Columbia River and is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Willamette National Forest. There are an abundance of wildlife and an excellent bird life throughout the Columbia River Delta. A large number of fish also exist in the area.
